From Chapter Fourteen: a Celestral of the Krimz

“How do you know me?” I asked.

“I know you better than you know yourself, Zombiac,” he said, “your father was Latholn, son of Seed-Hurler.  Seed-hurler’s father was Zomghard, and his was named Fight-winner.  Fight-winner was the son of Winterkill, whose father was  Wilder, son of Brane.  Brane was sired by Cow-killer, son of Dread-Rungrin, and the father of Dread-Rungrin was Rungrin, King of Qeple.  I knew Rungrin two hundred and eighty nine years ago.  He was a hero to his people, and equal in size and strength to Arbeckarc.  Rungrin freed all apes from the yoke of thousands of years of war and servitude.  When I knew him, he little knew he would be a King and liberator.  My name is Beerwin.  I am a Celestral of the Krimz.  I have sought you since speaking with Nedhollow Meander.  It is your noble lineage for which Heydal’s Horn resurrected you.  For the god from which that horn was taken was a mighty beast Rungrin once fought while captive among the Exelsitons, LeyFaynar!”

I had to sit for a moment.

“Is this true?  Do you know me so well?”

“The knowledge of a Celestral is deep.  I know much.  I know who can free you from your curse.”

“Speak, Beerwin!  Who do you know?”

“Come, let us make camp.  You are on the right road.  We go to Rryiph, holy city of Glencoonith.  Such tales as you must hear are best around the campfire.”
